elevated position overlooking the Hokianga Harbour in Northland, New
Zealand.
Rawene is one of New Zealand's most historic settlement towns. Once thriving on
Kauri logging, it is now a relaxed village providing for a charming escape,
handy to the Giant Kauri Forest, beaches at Opononi and Omapere, the infamous
sand dunes and 90 mile beach. Rawene is 300km north of Auckland on the Twin
Coast Highway route 12.

Opononi Beach Holiday Park is a beautiful spacious family
camp on Hokianga harbour with panoramic views of sand dunes from all sites. Safe
swimming, diving, good fishing from boat or rocks. Scuba air & boat tractor.
Fishing trips arranged. Playground for children. Close to famous Waipoua Kauri
Forest, golf course. Hotel, store 5min walk. Boogie-board the sand dunes. Great
fun!
