We also have a range of cabins, kitchen cabins, self-contained units and park motels for all seasons. Many holiday parks offer lodge accommodation, ranging from backpacker bunk rooms to bedrooms with ensuite facilities. All have park like settings, are friendly, fun places to stay and are near or in some of New Zealand's most beautiful places.

North Island

Top

Bay Cabinz  are set amongst a sub-tropical hillside landscape in the heart of Paihia.
Waipoua Forest and Trounson Park have campsites provided by the Department of Conservation.
The Tree house is on the Northern side of the Hokianga Harbour. Just head west for about 2 km after getting off the ferry. See their site for further directions.
Aroha Island is probably the most accessible Kiwi habitat in Northland. They have a bunkhouse, a cottage and campervan or tent sites.
There is a variety of coastal and forest walkways in the area, several of these begin at Okopako lodge. Enjoy the fresh organic fruit and veggies from this lodge.
Wainui backpacker and Lodge is situated on the shore of one of the bays in the Bay of Islands.

Whangarei

Whangarei Holiday Park  is very close to the centre of Whangarei, but as it backs onto Mair Park You would hardly know how close to town you are. We have stayed here and received a most friendly welcome. Highly recommended.

Rodney

Sandspit Motor camp is a family friendly camp with a difference. Free Kayaks and dinghies.
Whangaparaoa, Has two camps, One at Red Beach called Pinewoods set in 34 acres and the other at the other end of the Peninsula at Shakespear Regional Park which is set in 376 Hectares.
Orewa is graced with Orewa Beach Holiday Park and  Puriri Park Holiday Complex.
Waiwera  Thermal Resort. An ideal place to rest those tired limbs would have to be the Waiwera Holiday Park.
Wenderholm offers another Regional park Camp.
Warkworth and the picturesque Kowhai Coast has camping grounds scattered all over. Martins Bay  and Whangateau Holiday Parks are two well run council camps.
About ten minutes north of Warkworth is Sheepworld Caravan Park.
On the west coast at Parakai is Aquatic Park  hot pools and motor camp. The camp fees include unlimited use of the hot pools and hydro slide till noon on the day of departure.
Marco Polo  is a well known backpackers lodge in Hatfield's Beach.
Pillows  Travellers Lodge  in Orewa offer friendly company and lovely clean rooms at a reasonable cost. Have stayed here too, nice, friendly and clean.

Tauranga

Omokoroa Tourist Park and Thermal hot pools offers a friendly stay to all. Families particularly enjoy the safe environment, where there is space to play, run or explore our playground. Omokoroa is just 20 minutes drive north of Tauranga.

Whanganui National Park
