Hokianga Backpackers
Set in subtropical gardens,
forest and woodland next to the peaceful Hokianga Harbour. The Tree
House provides hostel and cabin accommodation for the independent
traveller, bicycle tourist or backpacker travelling on Northland's Twin
Coast Discovery Highway between Cape Reinga and the Waipoua Kauri
forest.
Stay in your own cabin, or a shared room in our owner-built wooden
homestead. Sleep in a tent in our camping ground or stay in our
waterfront holiday house in Kohukohu.
Located near the Hokianga Car Ferry and the heritage precincts of
Kohukohu and Rawene, The Tree House is an ideal base from which to
explore west coast kauri forests and beaches, art galleries, cafés and
historic places—while only an hour's drive from Kerikeri in the Bay of
Islands.

closest backpackers to Tane Mahuta in the Waipoua Forest. Come and
